The score taken for Kerala Engineering admission considers both the score in the entrance exam as well as the marks received for Physics, Chemistry and Maths in respective Board Exams with 50:50 weightage.
The entrance score (out of 960) will be reduced to total of 300, the board marks will be taken out of 300 and the ranking will be done according to what is called KEAM Score which will be out of total of 600.
The closing ranks usually don't vary too much over the years.
